Simply Elegant

This is probably one of the easiest dos here! I've seen it around in the malls and even on commercials this holiday season. I think it probably looks best with the hair curled but Zay really protested the flat iron this morning so we left it straight.

Make sort of a slanted part to the side.
Pull all the hair off of just one side into a pony tail.
Make sure you leave the rest down.
That's it. It's that simple!
And as you can see this works great for babies too! Look hoe curly Maddie's hair has gotten!

Youtube!

I made this video compilation of some of my favorite dos. And because my blog would not be where it is today without all my hair blog friends I even have a few of you featured at the end of the video! (sorry, I didn't have room to feature more or I would have! I'll feature different blogs on the next video)

Enjoy!

Baby Twists

Here's a very easy way to make a topsy tail twist in baby hair! It works so well on Maddie's hair I had to share it! Look at how big my little princess is getting!

(sorry about he video quality, I'm still working on getting a new camera!)

Pictures

Are you getting family pictures this holiday season, or even just pics of your little ones? If you live in Utah you HAVE to check out Tina! She does the most fantastic work! These are of her pics. Very beautiful, I love how she seems to have an ability to capture babies like nobody else.

Go on over to Bumps and Bundles or Tina's main site to see prices and some other great pictures.

Just to say it, I am not getting any compensation for this. In fact, she does not even know I am featuring her!

How to make a messy bun

There's so many different ways to make a messy bun. Here's how I do mine.

Twisty Braids with Messy Buns

Today's do is a twisty braid with 2 messy buns in the back.

Make your rope braid just to the ear. Gather the hair from the bottom only.
For this do I made an "s part", just draw an s line all the way down. I find it's best to put one half of the hair into a pig tail while you are styling the other side, that way you don't mess up your part while styling. Once you have the braid all done connect it into a pig tail.
Make each pig tail into a messy bun.
Total time should be 10 to 15 minutes.
